This event is now over
New start date: March 17. New end date: April 28.
Mindstorms is a super fun way for kids to really get into robots. You can use the Mindstorms platform to build bots that can navigate mazes, pick up things with a robotic claw or even deal cards. Here is a very cool video showing some very cool creations that one guy made with Mindstorms.
In our class, students will work with the LEGO Mindstorms base kit and the new Green City add-on package, which is especially geared for newcomers to Mindstorms. We'll start out making bots that can use sensors to follow a line and move up from there! Class meets for six weeks, one 90-minute meeting per week. Taught by college grads who grew up playing with Mindstorms.
Max: 8 students.
Cost: $110 per student.
Areas of exploration: programming, robotics.
Class meets meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Bradley Hills E.S., room TBA, on the following six Thursdays: March 17, 24, 31, April 7, 14, 28
